Coming Up This Week:
June 26 Worship Sanctuary 9:00 a.m.
July 3 Worship Sanctuary 9:00 a.m.
Prayer Requests: Remember to send your prayer requests via email to the church office by Friday evening to have them included in the Sunday service.
Thank you to Bill S., Jay J., Wayne B., Roger B., and Cindy B. for their hard work last Saturday at the church cleanup day.
Take a look at Zion’s sparkling floors in the Fellowship Hall kitchen and bathrooms! The Property Committee had the floors professionally cleaned and is very pleased with the result.
Ladies Group reminder: There will be NO Ladies Breakfast on July 11th due to a scheduling conflict at the Apple Bin. The next breakfast will be August 8th at 9:00 a.m.
The gardens are starting to produce! If you have extra fresh produce, you are willing to share, please bring it to Zion House on Tuesdays and Thursdays. We will have a table on the front porch where people can find free food to supplement their dinner tables.
Lay Readers needed for the summer: If you would like to read scriptures any Sunday this summer, please call or email the office!
Soloists wanted!! If you or a friend would like to share vocal or instrumental talents over the summer, there is a sign-up sheet on the credenza.
Focus Group: Zion will be forming a focus and planning group for the possible upgrade of the Audio Visual System first contemplated pre-Covid. The group will convene in September to formulate and evaluate a vision for use of the system during worship and volunteers are needed. If you have an interest in a/v technology and/or enhancing Zion’s worship experience, this would be a great opportunity to contribute to the life of the church! Just contact the church office by phone (717-677-8319) or email (firstname.lastname@example.org).
This year, Vacation Bible School will run from July 18 – 22 from 6:15 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Shepherds for each class and a Snack Coordinator are being recruited. If you are moved to fill one of those positions, please let Miss Chris know soon so we are not scrambling at the last minute for volunteers. Children in the pre-Kindergarten group will need a person to accompany them to VBS. Thanks for supporting Zion’s kiddos!
Visitors – We’re glad you stopped in. Don’t forget to help yourselves to a welcome packet on the credenza in the back of church!
