One thing that never changes is the need to feed the hungry. We don’t have the 30s era soup lines as shown in the old photo, but food insecurity is a feature of everyday life even here in Adams County. On Saturday, October 30th, Zion hosted at the Gettysburg Soup Kitchen. The menu was the old Pennsylvania Dutch standby…ham, green beans, and potatoes! There were 35 guests served, and the food was well received. So well received that there weren’t any leftovers. Thanks to Pam Sanders for organizing this ministry for us. We are responsible for serving on the 5th Saturdays and 5th Tuesdays.
