All Saints Sunday
Visitors: Welcome to our church. Please sign our guest book! If you do not have a church home, we pray that you will find one with us. We have large-print bulletins available, as well as hearing assistance devices. Please ask an usher if you require either of these. Restrooms are located in the church school building. Go through the door next to the choir loft, and straight ahead. We also have restrooms downstairs in Fellowship Hall. Again, exit through the door next to the choir loft, turn left down the hall, and go down the steps.
We Gather In Awe And Wonder
Chime Interlude And Candle Lighting Response
Leader: You are worthy, awesome God, to receive honor and glory. God brings the light of truth to us.
All: Worthy is the Lamb who was slain, to receive our praise and thanksgiving. Christ brings the light of redemption to us.
Leader: Spirit of God, you claim our loyalty and establish Christ’s rule in our lives. The Spirit brings the light of discernment to us.
All: The Lord reigns as the King of Kings, and is robed in majesty and armed with strength.
Praise Response: “Lord, When I Came into This Life“………….#691, v. 1
*Call To Worship
One: Listen, O people, God is one: and you shall love your God with all your heart, and soul, and mind, and strength.
All: We have come to worship God!
One: Listen, O people, the second commandment is like the first: you should love your neighbor as you love yourself.
All: We have come to worship God!
One: Loving God, our neighbor, and ourselves is more important than anything else.
All: We have come to worship God!
*Hymn: “What a Fellowship, What a Joy Divine” …………………#837
Leader: We give you thanks loving God, for your presence in our lives wherever we go and for people in our community who bear your presence to us. In turning us toward you, O God, turn us toward one another. Amen.
We Recognize Our Brokenness
Prayer Of Confession
One: We come before you in confession, O God, knowing you always receive us as we are. For those times when we have forgotten you, or neglected you, when we have not loved you,
All: forgive us, loving God.
One: For those times when we have not loved our neighbor, when we have ignored the needs of those around us, or when we have sought ways to diminish the worth of others,
All: forgive us, loving God.
One: For those times when we have not loved ourselves, putting ourselves down, always sacrificing our own needs until we reach the point of resenting others,
All: forgive us, loving God. Amen. (A time for silent prayers of confession.)
Assurance Of God’s Forgiveness
One: Psalm 146 tells us that God lifts up those who are weighed down, loves the righteous, cares for the stranger, and sustains the orphan and the widow. So know that, whoever you are, and wherever you find yourself, God loves you and is with you always.
All: Thanks be to God! Amen.

And forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.)
Our Offering: Our financial offering is one way that our members participate in the mission and ministry of this church. We thank you for your financial support. For those of you who are visiting, please feel no need to participate in the offering. This worship service is our gift to you.
*Doxology: “Praise God, from Whom All Blessings” ……………….….#606
*Prayer Of Dedication
Leader: With these gifts, O God, we express a small portion of our love for you, and for our neighbours. Take what we offer and use it to help fill the world to overflowing with your abundant goodness. Amen.
Leader: Friends, this is the joyful feast of the people of God! Folks will come from east and west, and from north and south. All the citizens of God’s Rule in Christ will feast forever in glory. This is the Lord’s table, his dinner party spread across time. And all who are baptized in him are invited to this foretaste of the Age to come.
Great Prayer Of Thanksgiving
Leader: The Lord be with you.
People: And also with you.
Leader: Lift up your hearts.
People: We lift them to the Lord.
Leader: Let us give thanks to the Lord our God.
People: It is right to give our thanks and praise.
Leader: It is indeed right to give our thanks and praise to you, the God of Abraham and Sarah, Miriam and Moses, Joshua, Deborah, Ruth, David, priests, and prophets, Mary, Joseph, Peter and Paul, apostles, and martyrs, and ordinary unknown saints.
People: You are the God of our mothers and fathers and our children to all generations.
Leader: You, Everlasting One, made us all. You fashion us into one people, and continue to love us even when we deny our godly heritage.
People: Still, you call us home to you through saints dedicated to your will.
Leader: Therefore we praise you joining our voices with all the people of faith of every time and place who forever sing to the glory of your name:
People: Holy, holy, holy Lord, God of power and might. Heaven and earth are full of your glory! Hosanna in the highest. Blessed is the one who comes in the name of the Lord. Hosanna in the highest.
Leader: In union with Christ’s offering for us, we live out the mystery of the faith we proclaim.
People: Christ has died. Christ has risen. Christ will come again.
Leader: Spirit of the living God, make us one as we partake of these your gifts to us so we might be in communion with you and one another.
People: As we break bread together, may our eyes be opened to see your glory. As we lift the cup of salvation, may we be strengthened to follow your Way. Until Christ comes in final victory and we feast together with all the saints at God’s great family reunion, keep your church one in service to the world here and now. (Please be seated.)

People: “Salvation belongs to our “God who sits upon the throne, and to the Lamb!” “Blessing and glory and wisdom and thanksgiving and honor and power and might be to our God for ever and ever! Amen!”
