All: All creation praises your name!

One: Heavens:  star studded, sun glowing, moon shining.

All: All creation praises your name!

One:  Animals:  blue whale and minnow, eagle and kangaroo, sheep and cattle.

All: All creation praises your name!

One: People:  young and old, gentle and mighty, small and great.

All: All creation praises your name!

One: Let all creation come and worship God!

*Hymn: “Praise Ye the Lord, the Almighty” …………………insert)

*Invocation

One: Creating God,

All: we come to celebrate your creation.

One: Healing Jesus,

All: we come to be renewed in you.

One: Dancing Spirit,

All: we come to live by your rhythm.

One: May we find time enough to gaze at the heavens, and silence enough to wonder at the handiwork of love, and grace enough to find ourselves bound together by your hands.  Creator, healer, dancer,

All: we come to praise and live with you in community.  Amen.

We Recognize Our Brokenness

 Prayer Of Confession

One: Great God, your wonder wraps the world and the echo of glory stretches to the heavens.

All: We pause to reflect how we have tarnished that glory.

One: Your glory fills the throats of laughing children.

All: We pause to reflect on times when our words bring tears rather than laughter.

One: No enemy is stronger than you.  Your love is stronger than all hatred.

All: We pause to reflect on times when we have chosen hatred before love.

One: The heavens overflow with majesty.  The skies shimmer with glory.  What are we compared to all that?

All: We pause to reflect on times when we have lost our sense of place and worth.

One: We resonate with the whole wonder of love, in all its ambiguity.

All:   We pause to reflect on times when we love power over wonder.

One: You have ordained humanity to engage in justice with everything you handcrafted.

All: We pause to reflect on times when justice has become injustice and engagement has become lauding.

One: From everything that walks to everything that swims, from everything that slithers to everything that flies.

All: We pause to reflect on the relationship we have with the world.

One: God, your glory is witnessed throughout all creation.

All: We pause to reflect on being witnesses to that glory again, in your name. (Silence for reflection.)

 Assurance Of God’s Forgiveness

One: God’s love is poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit that has been given to us.  The one who made you also forgives you.  Be at peace with God!  Be at peace with creation!  Be at peace with each other!  Be at peace with yourselves!

All: Thanks be to God.  Amen.

UACT News – The UACT Youth Committee has planned several summer activities for young people. On June 21st, join us for Kid’s Night at Hollabaugh Bros. from 6-8 pm.  Admission is normally $4.00 per child (parents are free) but if your child/family is part of UACT there is no charge (UACT will pay for admission).  Kids enjoy free ice cream, wagon rides, lawn games, board games, scavenger hunts, and more.  Event is cancelled if inclement weather.  In July, join us for Vacation Bible School July 8-12, 6:15-8pm at Trinity Lutheran in Arendtsville.  In August, there will be movie night at Oakside sponsored by the Jaycees, date and time to be determined.  Have fun this summer with Upper Adams friends!

Totem Pole Playhouse –Time is getting short! Remember to sign up for the Saturday, August 10th matinee production of “The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas” at the Totem Pole Playhouse.  The clipboard is in the back of church.  BLWT is a rollicking musical with serious themes.  Come fine out how putting life on TV changes it, how it changes people, and how the TV camera impacts that which it records. The show asks questions about privacy and whether television, both local and national, goes too far in its pursuit of stories, as pertinent a question today as in the 1970’s.

You are Invited to Trinity Lutheran Church’s annual church picnic on Sunday, June 23rd, at the South Mountain Fairgrounds.  Order a barbecued chicken lunch and bring a side dish to share.  Orders are due by June 17th.  See flyer in back of church.

Free Summer Camp – Collaborating For Youth is sponsoring a free summer camp from June 24 to August 1, Monday through Thursday, at Camp Nawakwa for kids in 4th to 8th grade.  For details, see the flyer in the back of church.
