October 21, 2012: Zion was in charge of the CROP walk this year, for the Upper Adams churches. This was capably administered by our Mission chair Angie Vines, with Peggy Sue Matthews working on the program with our local Scout Troop 70. Both did an excellent job in this first time effort for Zion. Angie Vines reports that the final total collected on behalf of hunger relief was $3,705.50. This is outstanding since there were several churches that normally participate who were not involved this year. The monies are divided between the national CROP program and our local charities–the Upper Adams Food Pantry and the Gettysburg Soup Kitchen. Well done all, Upper Adams!
