On Sunday October 23 our SS continued its study about the life of young David, thru creative cookery. Under the leadership of Sally Bowersox and Elener Storm, the kids enjoyed making an edible shepherd’s crook, while learning more about his life as shepherd. We thank all who helped to make this a success. [...]
On Wednesday October 5 we gathered to begin session one of the Kerygma study, Discovering the Bible. This 30 session study will take us through the whole Bible, and is designed for those who know little about the Bible or those who have studied the Bible for years. Our preschool class is settling in already to a nice routine for learning and our rotational model youth enjoyed a second week of lessons on “How the Bible Came to Be”.
This year we have 4 5th graders who will receive their teen study Bibles. Congratulations on this milestone in your spiritual life and we pray that your Bibles will be a blessing to you. Curt, Madison, Carly and Dylan will receive Bibles.

On Friday night we shared the week’s fun with parents and friends. We thank Miss Josie and the whole crew for putting together such a fun program. Son Surf Beach bash was a wonderful way to learn about Jesus, and learn about being a community of friends.
On Day three our theme was “Why do we need Jesus?” Our Bible story was that of Jesus washing the feet of his disciples, so the kids got to experience that, and think about servanthood. We really appreciate our teen helpers, who are in charge of games and the all important snacks!
On Day Two we learned “Why should I trust in Jesus?” In story, crafts, music and games the kids are learning to trust each other, their leaders, and Jesus. We are having a great time, as you can see from the pictures!
