Oakside Community Park Sponsors All-Day Event on June 20, 2009
Biglerville, PA – The Sixth Annual Edwin Taylor Memorial 5K Run and Fitness Walk will be held on Saturday, June 20, 2009. Proceeds will benefit music programs at Upper Adams Schools and Oakside Community Park. The event is sponsored by the Oakside Community Park Board of Directors in memory of Edwin Taylor, a beloved Upper Adams resident who volunteered with the Biglerville High School Band and Upper Adams Jaycees for nearly thirty years.
At our last technology committee meeting, the idea of connecting facebook users and registered users of this website came up. As we move forward into the social space with this site, Facebook Connect will serve as a way to integrate the power of the Facebook platform with our own church website. This will enable our users to do the following:
• Our users sign-in to Facebook and synchronize their zionuccarendtsville.org and Facebook accounts on this site • Enable users of this site to quickly invite their Facebook friends to view this site • Seamlessly "connect" their Facebook account and information with this site • Connect and find their friends who also use this site • Share information and actions on this site with their friends on Facebook • …and many other evolving technologies
I haven't implemented any of this technology yet, but I wanted to let you know that I am actively pursuing the idea and will hopefully have something functioning by the end of the week. Like always, I'll keep you updated with any new and exciting features we add to this site!
